RARCC in West Papua, my nominated charity.

Max Ammer Director at RARCC, a true visionary, said of the incredible school they have created “Currently, we are blessed to be able to provide free primary school level education to 65 students in Grades 1-6 with the help of 3 teachers.
Apart from basic manner and critical thinking, we also emphasis in creative minds. This way, we help to channel students’ interest in arts and music, grinding their fine motor skills, and also to balance their brain hemispheres.
Starting this academic year, we are in the process of moving from an education center to a formal SD (Primary School) by the name Batanta Hope School, this school hopefully would be a source of hope to Papuan children especially to Batanta, one of the big islands of Raja Ampat. Being a formal SD school means our Grade 6 students can take the national exam, register as students nationally, and receive their SD certificate. While we are still in the process, our students temporarily are under the care of an existing SD from the nearby village, Arefi. Last week, some of us from the foundation, teachers, and mothers, accompanied our Grade 6 students to Arefi to take their national exam. Our students performed really well and received good results without cheating compared to other students from the other two villages who also took it. We are incredibly proud!”
The school is just one of many projects the RARCC is involved in, and I am hoping we can take this book National and International to share their projects with the world, bring joy to the students, and help fund future projects.
